First Church Preschool

For over 40 years, First United Methodist Church Preschool has provided a safe and nurturing place for children to learn and explore in a Christian environment. In our preschool, play becomes the learning mechanism. Teachers use everyday life as teaching moments, ready for the unexpected to turn into a learning experience. Our program is planned in order to provide a wide balance of developmentally appropriate activities in the areas of social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

As a Christian preschool, we emphasis a spiritual element in our daily program through chapel, Bible stories, song, and prayer. We believe the love and care children receive determines how their sense of trust develops. Trust is crucial to forming ones’ faith. We help provide positive experiences in the church during our preschool program that will lead to a child’s spiritual development and faith as they grow with God. Until recently, this quality preschool education has only been available as a partial day program. We now offer a full day option of preschool for full time working parents!
