Mission & Outreach

Missions at First Church is a vital part of who we are. We believe firmly that we are called to reach out in love to our brothers and sisters in our community and around the world. We know that the church is the hope of the world but we also know that the church is “us”. We are the hands and feet of Christ in our hurting world. If you are looking for a place where you can make a Christian difference in the world, than we need you! Our local outreach programs include working with the homeless, with the homeless children, food drives, clothing drives, a 24-Hour Disaster Relief Team, housing a homeless overflow shelter during the winter, building with Habitat for Humanity, recycling, mission offerings and so much more! In addition, First Church sends out 8 -10 mission teams all over the world each year as we heed God’s call to care for the “least of these”. Come to First Church and put your faith into action and know the joy that comes from reaching out to others in the name of Christ.
