Rev. Todd Guinn,
Minister of Evangelism and Family Life

316-267-6244 ext. 315

As the Minister of Evangelism and Family Life I have the privilege to work with our guests and new members. I also partner with others from our team to provide ministry opportunities for families and oversight for our student ministry leaders

My greatest joy in ministry is seeing people connect with Christ. Whether they’ve been away from God or are just beginning their relationship with Him, I love to see people transformed. Remembering all that God has done for me it is truly a blessing to watch His supernatural love and power change the lives of others. My goal in ministry is to equip and prepare God's people for service that all may know the love, forgiveness and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

I was born and raised in Tulsa, OK, but have been in Kansas since 1998. I served 8 years at First United Methodist Church in Dodge City in student ministry, contemporary worship, and heading up the media ministries before moving to Wichita in 2006.

My wife, Lisa, and I have two amazing boys, Cody and Levi, who keep us laughing, learning, and leaning on Jesus. A major part of our parenting role seems to be that of an athlete’s manager, providing taxi service to games, coaching, and offering our cheerleading skills (no cute uniforms for me, though). When we can find some free time together we love to be outdoors for cycling, 4-wheeling, skiing & snowboarding, or just chillin’ at the house.

I’d love to say that as a pastor all I listen to is Christian music—that’d just be untrue. Although I’m a huge fan of Third Day, Tomlin, Crowder, Redman and many others, I’m a born-again classic rock junkie. Throw down some Aerosmith, Boston, Collective Soul, Lifehouse or Nugent and I’m all about it.

There’s no book that has impacted and shaped my life more than the Bible—thanks to believing parents, and my pastors Ron Hay and Rick Nimmo who discipled me as a young man. But other writings that have helped form who I am today include “Leadership on the Other Side” by Bill Easum, and various works by Brian McClaren.

My all-time favorite passage of Scripture is found in John 15, the Vine and Branches. There is simply an amazing and supernatural dynamic of freedom for us as we remain in Him. But my life verse is found in Hebrews 12:2.
Hebrews 12:2 (New International Reader's Version)
"Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the author of faith. He also makes it perfect. He paid no attention to the shame of the cross. He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
